1075 Peachtree Project
The 1075 Peachtree project being built by Brasfield & Gorrie has been steadily moving forward since November 2007.  On January 12, the second of two mass concrete pours was made.  The placement of 2,250 yards was made in four hours by utilizing three pump trucks and three Thomas Concrete plants.  There were no less than nine Thomas employees onsite serving in different capacities including traffic and quality control.  Employees from safety production, technical services, and sales represented Thomas’ commitment to the project.  The mass concrete placed will serve as part of the foundation for the office side of this mammoth sized mixed-use project.  The first mass placement of over 1,000 yards was made in December 2007 and will function as the heavy foundation for the hotel side of the project.  Both pours went extremely well and have set a positive tone as the project team begins to move vertical on this 115,000 yard project.  Thanks are extended to all who were involved in planning and executing this placement and to Brasfield & Gorrie’s project team led by Superintendent Lynn Walker for giving us the opportunity to be their supplier on this monumental project.
